New Year, New Gigs

Robin and Simon from ACPC

All three artists on Dreamboat Records will be performing live in the next few weeks. Details follow. Good times.

Azalea City Penis Club’s show on 29th January will be their first in about eighteen months. Their debut album will be released later this year, and this show will be the first time they’ve played the new stuff live. While you wait, you can download a couple of preview tracks.

Azalea City Penis Club — Old Faithful

Old Faithful, Yellowstone Park

Azalea City Penis Club are currently putting the finishing touches to their debut album, which will be out before the vernal equinox of 2006. They will be touring the UK around the time of its release, bringing with them their baffling blend of hulking stoner riffs, shoegaze racket and college rock tunesmithery.

But, since it’s so bloody cold in the UK (and at Old Faithful) right now, we’ve got another preview track to warm your iPod’s cockles and get you through a long, Penis-free winter.

  • Old Faithful (Sorry! No longer available!)

In the words of Simon Grant, “clocking in at just under 6 minutes, she’s mean, she’s monstrous, and she’ll beat you to the bar mitzvah”. We have no idea what this means, but she certainly offers good times.

Thunder and Wonder by Azalea City Penis Club

In the summer of 2005, Azalea City Penis Club entered the studio to begin work on their debut album. The first track from those sessions is now available to download.

We at Dreamboat Records think the bit at 3:26 is what it must sound like when you murder someone, and that can only be a good thing, right?.

Dangerous Dave Collingwood, ACPC’s drummer has also made available the first Dreamboat Records video. It’s That Loud Bit, You Cockend is an unflinching depiction of ACPC’s descent into speedballs, nitrous oxide and effects pedals during the recording of this song. Good times.
